The End of June is Nigh

The End of June is Nigh

Bloghop – My Writing Process

Bloghop – My Writing Process

I’ve been tagged. I’m it. I’m so bad at doing things like these usually, but I’m making a concerted effort to rectify that. Brenda Drake tagged me to do this, and so, here I am – about to tag others. But first, I’ll answer some questions What am I working on? I actualy have a couple of irons in the fire. I’m editing a YA Historical Horror to send to my agent at the end of the month. And then there’s this secret project I’m working on with a co-author – SECRET. It’s a very different genre and type of story for me, soooo that’s all I’ll say about that. And then I have a couple of stewing plotbunnies that require intermittent stirring.   How does my work differ from others in its...

May – the busiest month yet

May – the busiest month yet

My parents are visiting from Australia. While this sounds awesome, and don’t get me wrong, it is – it’s also exhausting. Why, you might ask – and I would answer that we’ve arranged so many different activities and trips, that I’m going to need another vacation after they leave. Anyway – as you can imagine I’ve not got a lot done writing wise. But that’s okay. Take mom and dad on an awesome vacation – ONE down, more to go Do a couple of blog posts – ONE so far … I WILL do another Bite nails while waiting for feedback on D – Three feedbacks down, three to go Keep up with Social Media as much as possible while parents are here – I think I’m doing okay on this Cheer everyone on!...

Another April Gone

Another April Gone

This month has been hella hectic. We’ve been preparing for my parents’ arrival at the start of May, getting the house ready and all that. Then I’ve been taking baby to babygym (which is awesome by the way) and I’ve had work’s open enrollment for health insurance to take care of. Then I decided to draft a book I’ve been meaning to draft all year and voila – done. Take hectic, add a dash of crazy, and here I am at the end of April, with more to show for it than intended. So it’s time take stock of my month so far, and look to the next. Complete Pantheon Tasks on time – Done Prepare for Parent’s arrival – Done CP stuff – Done Slowly work on AI/D/aWIP – FINISHED Work on Writemotivation Site...

April in a flash

April in a flash

And it has. I can’t believe April is almost over. In fact – I’m in complete denial. I don’t even remember March, let alone April, although Easter was a lot of fun. Right. Check in, yes? My month has taken a bit of a turn. So the things I thought to accomplish, are bigger than I originally intended. This is what happens when I tell myself to take it easy. My brain laughs at me. Complete Pantheon Tasks on time Prepare for Parent’s arrival CP stuff – failing abysmally Slowly work on AI/D/aWIP – I’m currently drafting D… so does this count? Work on Writemotivation Site – ARGH – yes, this week. I MUST DO THIS Be active on Social Media – I do think I’m doing this CHEER EVERYONE ON –...

The Good, Bad, and Really Bloody Sick

The Good, Bad, and Really Bloody Sick

2014 is not turning out to be my year. Don’t get me wrong – it started with a very productive bang. January was amazing. Loved it. February had family vacations, family loss, which resulted far less productivity than I’m used to. Cue March and the month of SICK INCARNATE. Baby was a little sick with allergies early on and began to get really sick, starting to run a 102/103 fever. Then my best friend got married and I was a bridesmaid. Lots of fun. And the next day – saw me with a fever of 102 for days, followed by a full week of low grade fever, loss of voice, a trip to the doctor, heaps of medications… and complete loss of productivity. I’m slowly recovering, but damn, this month has just not been kind to me. Really hoping...
